Week 10 of the 2025/26 North Caledonian Season seen us face Inverness Athletic FC for the first time this season being played at Dalmore Park in Alness. With two teams both on form it was going to be a close affair in the first meeting between the sides this season.
The game started with an early counter attack from Bonar Bridge on the 4th minute. Jake Lockett finding Aiden Stainke running through who lifted the ball over the Inverness Athletic keeper giving the away side an early lead.
Both teams settled into the game with chances for either to get the next goal. Good battling in the midfield kept Bonar in the game. Inverness Athletic levelled the scoring on the 33rd minute through a low ball into the box finding Russell MacIntyre. Not long after on the 40th minute through great footwork Jake Lockett found himself through on goal past the defense with a 1 on 1 with the keeper before being brought down by Jamie Young on the edge of the box. Free kick awarded and no red card shown by the ref much to Bonar Bridge & Inverness Athletic’s managers amazement. Half Time 1-1.
The second half continued the same as the first. Chances at both ends for either side to take the lead. Inverness Athletic hit the post but it was Bonar who finished the game with the best chances. Shaun Marshall narrowly missing at the far post and Connell Gresham having his volley saved right on the final whistle would have sealed the win but the game was to stay level and points shared between the sides.
